Should I look at going from 12 to X3? What's better besides the tracer?

One of the new featuress is the ability to highlight the new features! It's in the help menus under highlight. If you could get to see a copy you could explore.....it's a chicken/egg problem though, sorry!

There's a 40 page reviewer's guide online http://www.corel.com/content/pdf/cgsx3/cdgsx3_reviewers_guide.pdf if you have time...

The built-in tracer is convenient, but the two best new features (IMHO) are the 'smart-fill' tool (which makes an object inside nearest bounding objects) and the 'boundary' tool (which makes an object that is the union of a set of selected objects).

Plus better file importing; improved cut out feature in PP, better corner rounding etc, etc, etc.

Text to path also. Makes it very easy.

Brian, I posted my thoughts on it on this thread, which had some comments that might interest you.

I bought it from a site listed on here by someone, and it was $160 or $169 for the full package, not the upgrade, so the cost wasn't too bad at all. It's the full version with books and bonus material.

Yeah, that's the one Ed, it was you who turned us on to that source. I was very happy with the service from them. Ordered it and it came straight away, no issues at all.

Thanks for that tip!

Thanks for the links.
I may just have to talk the boss into it. Hey, talked her into marrying me over 15 years ago so it might work!
