I haven't shown anything before, this is only about the 6th or 7th vessel I've turned...if you don't count the firewood, projectiles, or broken pieces.
I've done mostly pens, tool handles, mallets etc. I'm not sure what the wood is, other than free. Form could use some work, finish is just turners friction wax. It is a pretty piece of wood!

Gorgeous wood. I think you nailed the only issue I see. The base could have been smaller diameter, but still a nice piece. Would make an excelent vase on a table. Too bad its not larger, would be magnificent as an umbrella holder!!! Nice job.

Great work Roy - I used to live in Indian Springs but got tired of how BA is growing so moved up to the "sticks in Collinsville. Keep up the good work.

Roy - congrats on your first posting! It's hard to put something out there the first time...

Beautiful wood with a nice simple form that doesn't take away from the spalted effect.

Like everyone else suggests - make lots more and be sure to post more often!
