Frank, fifty is nothing. It's just a year older than 49. I still get people calling me "young man" at 54. I'll be a lot more upset when I hit 59 and am close to 60, you have almost 10 years to go before then so enjoy the 50s.

It was kind of fun today, we took the kids out to dinner, 27, 22 and 19.

A couple across from us had the same, two daughters and a son, but theirs were probably 6, 3 and 1. My wife and I looked at them and thought how lucky we were.

Frank,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I SAY AGAIN OLD CHAP, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

(Just in case you are losing your sight and hearing;) )

Frank, my birthday was yesterday (April 8th)! Of course, when I was born you had already been around for 6 years! :D

I'm catching up to you, though!

I hope you had a great day!

50!!! 50's not old... I look in the mirror every morning and think "who's the geezer'? :D My worst birthday was my 30th, now all of my kids are over 30:eek:.. I turned 60 last December.. If you believe all the hype Frank..50 is the new 40, so I guess 60 is the new 50, and when I'm 100, I guess 'that' will be the new 90.. gee I can hardly wait:confused:

Firstly let me say thank you all for your replies. I had a great day, barbeque with some friends and a glass of champagne, weather turned good for a change and the sun shone. All around it was a bit like what I imagine heaven will be like (if I get there).

I had a great day, I don't feel any older, I don't even look any older and I'm happy.
...and this picture still makes me laugh every time I see it.
