After making tops with my 6th grader, my kindergartner "suggested" that we make a bowl together. He helped to make the cuts and loves to polish!

Trust me when I say "A family that plays together, stays together" is not just a cliche. Stuff like this makes for memories that influence children into the adults they become. I'm happy that you have this for you and your kids and what great results you have achieved. Keep it up. Again, nice work.:)

Let your son know that is one great looking bowl and he should be very proud of it! Do they still have show & tell in schools these days?

Good for you Pete! My hat's off to you. Keep those boys involved in your spinny world and they'll thank you more than you'll ever know. Oh, and...nice bowl!

Pete that is cool. Enjoy every minute with them because they grow up like tomorrow. Yesterday mine was 16 and today he is 34. Tell him it is a beautiful bowl Pete. Ya both did a nice job.

Pete, Tell him he did a fine job! that is a great bowl and the finish is wonderful. One suggestion if I may, Take that first pic , have it blown up poster size, get one of those $12.00 poster frames with the clear sheet plastic and put it someplace prominent in the shop. That is a motivator if I ever saw one. Dennis should do the same!:)
