I recently mentioned in a thread that I had trouble finding anyone with cherry feather crotch veneer in a size commensurate with my vanity projects. He, among a few others, responded via PM with sources...and the one that he cited came through. Todd from Rosebud Veneer (http://www.rosebudveneer.com/) just happened to have something that appears perfect for the job and I did the transaction this morning. Todd also sells on "that auction site" which is how I first made contact.

Thanks, Dave!!

Oh, this is the picture from the vendor...

Glad I could help....... it's not often that I get to assist the guy that helps more people than anyone else on this forum. Good luck with the vanities and if you have any veneering questions, do hesitate to ask or call...... Best. Dave.

Thanks, Dave...between you and Joe Woodworker (http://joewoodworker.com), I should have just the right advice in this new "veneering adventure"! I just have to get my Gast pump's specs to him so we can figure out what I need to do the bag thing...I'm assuming that Stubbalina will not object to me borrowing her little sucking friend for something that's not spinning... :D

Katherine (LOML) speaks Russian fluently and confirmed my guess that Stubbalina is, indeed, Russian for 'monster lathe' :)

Naa...she was named in Feb 2004. The Russian thing didn't happen until mid-late 2005...and she's no monster. 'Just a smooth operator...

New guy here-
Just a note to compliment Dave on the fine Maple Quilt he has for sale. You're a gentleman, Dave, looking forward to doing some beautiful guitars...
Thanks again,
Stan
