large BS mobile base?

Hello Fellow wood workers,

I was wondering if it was a good idea to put an after market mobile base on a laguna 16 bandsaw?

You may consider a mobile base that is wider than your BS's footprint, bolt the BS to plywood and the plywood to the mobile base. That both increases stability and stiffens the base. I did that with my Minimax 16" bandsaw, and it works well.
