Yikes, I just ran a job that normally takes about 15 minutes at 400 dpi to engrave. Unfortunately I absent-mindedly ran it at 1200 dpi. It's still not quite finished after 1 hour 25 minutes! :rolleyes:

That's 9 times as many dots per square inch, and 3 times as many scan lines. I hope you weren't engraving wood (charcoal).

Misery loves company. I just mis-proofed 40 labels with the wrong part number and had no spares.

It was 1/4" acylic, and looks beautiful but better than needed and would be way too costly that way, doing about 60 12x24 sheets on this job.!

Wow.. If your speed and power was the same as it would have been for 400 dpi, I'm surprised you have anything recognizable ! I would have to assume you were 'not' engraving a photo ?

Same speed and power, and no photo, just text and lines.
