Hello,
I'm planning to make an extended table for my chopsaw. Can anyone recommend a good set up for an adjustable stop, for making accurate repeat cuts. I'll probably be looking for about 10' of tape.
Appreciate any responses,
Thanks

I put a Scotchman on my miter saw after years of using a Broset (similar to the Biesemeyer stop) and a stick-on tape. The Scotchman has teeth set at 1/16" increments for a positive, repeatable stop. Love it. Depends how much you want to spend though . . .

I have one of these

I use for picture frames, but it works great for repeatable cuts on anything.
I am not blowing my own horn but my mitres on frames when using this setup are perfect.

It comes with a sticker for measuring 45s but you could easily put another one on for 90s

I got the Kreg setup, it works well. I mounted it the same as Per mounted his, threaded inserts etc. I wanted flip stops and kept putting it off until I finally decided to just get the Kreg stuff and get it done. Works great. I have 5' on one side and 9' on the other (which translates to 4' and 8' of kreg track plus the 1' built into the saw).

You could use Utilitrak (T-track with a slot for scale) and a stop block that goes in the T-track.

I'll add another vote for Kreg, mounted with threaded inserts.

Made mine with an old C clamp and it works fine. I would, however, put a lag bolt in the end touching the stock to avoid built up dust from ruining your day (and leave a small gap under the vertical fence for the dust too). See it hanging next to the CS?

Kreg it is. I stopped by Woodcraft and took a look. I think I can get a set up for a little over $100. The only question I have (if anyone is still hanging around) is are the flip stops ridgid enough? The one I was looking at had some slop. The production stop looked to be more accurate, but I would like to be able to flip it up.
Thanks for all the responses.

Mine was pretty simple, Kreg as well, 2-48" tracks plus 5-24" tracks and four stops. I still have to build a box for DC on the SCMS, the plastic hood is just temp:

You can tighten up the flip stop to take out the slop.

I've never had any complaints using the flip stop. Works great!
