Follow-up on Dewalt planer question

Posted about 3 weeks ago about a problem with planing on my black & yellow planer (DW733). Brought it to a Dewalt place about 15 miles away from home. They adjustmented the blade which should allow me to plane a good bit more off at a pass. It only cost $28 but took 18 days before they even looked at it. Haven't tried it yet, however. I don't know how people who make their living with these tools can afford to lay them up for this period of time.
