Did a little experimenting. Made a pencil pot out of zebrawood. 4"x2.5" diameter. This was my first attempt. I played with the shape a little, not sure if I like it. It flew off the lathe at one point and got cracked, but I CA'd it and I think it turned out ok. My wife can't find the crack, anyway.
The pen in the foreground is curly mahogany, the pen in the back ground is curly hard maple.
Pencil pot is a gift for a friend. I may get one of the pens if SWMBO so decrees.
