Has anybody ever tried making a recorder or irish whistle? If so, are there any books or guide on how to do so??? There is this website here (http://www.flute-a-bec.com/fabricatgb.html), but it really isn't informative enough. Anyway... any suggestions???

Chiff and fipple isn't what it used to be, but http://www.chiffandfipple.com/ is one place to start. Also Mark's page http://www.markshep.com/flute/index.html has been a help. Kids made them from everything from PVC to willow every year when I was still at school.
