View Full Version : reclaimed barn wood hall table

Here are a couple of pics of a hall table I just finished, it's 14x43x30 high. The oak is from a barn me and a few family members took down. The barn was estimated to be from the 20's or 30's. We got 4 pickup loads of oak and yellow pine (mostly oak). The agreement was that we could have the barn we just had to clean everything up. I made the hall table for the lady that owned the barn.

I really like it when we can make something new out of something old!!

I know from experience that you take a chance when working with used lumber "Nails &* such" you have done a fine job with this one !!

Before I ran the wood through any of my tools I bought a detector.
It payed for itself on the first board.

Very nice work, John. You did well in maintaining the "patina" of older material in this project...it's awesome!
