Hi all; I'm back from my trip and ready to get back to work. Any one have any recommendations for a tile cutter to cut marble and granite tiles? Grizzly has 2 that I've looked at in the catalog. One has a sliding table and the other could be a radial arm type. Home depot carries a few, but I welcome the advise of the voices of experience. I don't want a cheapie that won't do the job or hold up, but I don't need the Cadillac either. Also, there was a thread on lasering gemstones/semi precious stones. Any further developements on this? I picked up some sliced and polished agate that I am going to try, and rock-hounds should be a good wholsale source. Thanks for feedback, Ray M

Hi Ray,

For a tile cutter that really works, buy a Felker. They make a TS-75 (I think that's the model) for a couple hundred bucks that works well. Or the larger one that about 450 bucks (that I have) is a real workhorse. About 80% of the tiling pros I've talked to all swear by Felker tile saws. :)
