What grease do you guys recommend for use on a lathe bed and the exposed moving parts? Any particular brand or weight?

Thanks!

I use Boeshield T9. Spray a sparse amount and wipe in with a paper towel.

I use the John Jordan method....WD-40 before each use. It's cheap and effective.

I use simple paste wax...the same as I put on my table saw, bandsaw, J/P, etc.

Ditto what Jim said. I don't not put oil or grease on any surface.

Which paste wax do you use? Probably more importantly, are there any waxes to stay away from? I've heard that one should avoid waxes with toluene in them, for health reasons, and silicone, for fear of contaminating the wood and causing finishing problems later on.
