I know a lot of you are east coasters, but is anyone planning on attending the AAW Portland Oregon Symposium this year?

June 29th -July 1st.

I will be there, the last one I got to was the Pasadena Symposium in 2003 and information packed is an understatement.

I'm planning on going! I only live 25 minutes away! ;) This will be the first symposium I have gone too. Looking forward to it!

Argh! It's only about 300 miles away.....Unforturnately, the LOML and I will be about 1500 miles away!

I'd love to attend, but I don't know if I can pull it off schedule wise. The two I have attended were wonderful...

If I live long enough, I hope to go to the Richmond one next year. That's only 90 miles from my VA place. I drove from there to Louisville and loved the show. My only problem was that the exhibit/sale corroborated my sense of inferiority when it comes to turning.

I just registered! This will be my first and I'm looking foward to it. Two of the three recommended hotels are already booked! :eek:

Well, I've got to take off my woodturner's hat and put on my AAW board hat. Your AAW has been working very hard to organize a terrific event in Portland. The line-up of demonstrators is diverse and exceptional. I visited the facilities in January and there's a lot more room than we had in Louisville. I encourage everyone to seriously consider attending. Hope to see you there.

I don't live as far east of Portland as Ken does, "only" about a 3 1/2 hour drive and wouldn't miss it. Will be the first one. Several of our MidComlumbia Woodturner's club will be going. My first one and really looking forward to it.

Are you going to be in the vendor section? I should be needing some abrasives by that time, if I get all my projects done.
