This is my solution for storing my few lathe tools. I wanted to keep the sharp points safely out of the way when stored. It's just a simple piece of 1/2 ply mounted on an angle with a cleat, under my storage cabinet. When using them I just remove the lid and am careful to stop the lathe each time I need to reach over the lathe to change tools. As I add tools I plan to replace the box with holders and just extend (widen) the ply. My piece of mind when the 3 grand boys come over.
