This was a very small piece of wood that I was going to pitch but noticed a little figure so I turned it. 5 1/2" X 1" (It was 1" thick to start). I held it with expansion and managed to get the bottom super thin not leaving me able to turn the bottom smooth so I added a maple circle to the expansion hole. This solved both problems of being too thin and filling in the expansion hole. It has nice chatoyance. Comments and critiques welcome.

Another nice one, Bill. I can see this one sitting on the counter with a couple of Granny Smith apples in it for contrast.

Again Bill, Good work. I like the form and for a throw-away it was a good save.:)
