I have tried Behlen's pore filler and it does a great job of filling the pores. The problem is that the Neutral is too light and the Mahogony is too pink for use on red oak. Does anyone ever tint or dye the pore filler to get it closer to the predominate color of the wood? Could I use TransTint dye to experiment and see if I can get to the desired color or should I use a different medium as the tinting agent? Thanks for all the past help you have provide to a novice.
