Sculptural woodwork design can begin on even simple projects. Here is a jewlery box and a make-up box I made some years ago. Notice how figer pulls are integrated and are "let-in" to the body. The long one is cocabola and the smallone is canary wood with an ebony in lay edge/ pull. The ebony started as a solid thick strip and the was sculpted to make a pull and finally the carcass sculpted to accept the lid/ pull.
These are good small projects you can make fron scraps and hone your hand and machine tool skills. They are fun.... No I don't wear make-up!!!
