What is it used for exactly And how do you use it?

It is used often for drying pieces of wood... never done it myslef, but a lot of the guys on here soak their wood in it to speed the drying process. I use it to raise the grain on the wood... same effect as water except that you can light DNA on fire to speed the drying. Also it is often used for mixing with analine dyes to weaken the color.

Shellac thinner. Mix one ounce of flakes to eight of alcohol for a "one pound" cut for use in sealing your wood under some other finish or for French polishing "looker" pieces as quickly and effortlessly as is possible.
