Hi Follow Creekers,

I'm looking for some feedback on a quality undermount draw slide for a bathroom vanity I'm building. I've narrowed it down to Mepla Alfit because of the price and all of the mounting brackets are included, unlike Accuride.

Does anyone have any experiance with this manufacturer or any other suggestions?

Thanks for any help,

David

I used these on my last project because of the size of the drawers. (very narrow). They worked well and are very adjustable. Not sure how the price compares.

Draw slides? I'm originally from New England, but I don't recall ever seeing anyone actually write with an nor'east accent before. heheh. Maybe too much "Nahm" :) Just kidding with you :)

For drawer slides in my kitchen, I have been using the Blum Tandem with Blumotion slides. Those are a very good quality undermount slide with excellent sliding and soft-close action. Did you look at those when you looked at the Accuride slides? I have been very impressed with them.

Like most undermount slides, the Blum requires special clearance, notching and boring. IIRC, it's a half inch underside clearance.

I'm Sorry for the draw, I ment drawer. Anyway, I'm at work and must be typing too fast w/o proofing. I've looked at about 4-5 different manufacters including european (google search). I guess I'm to the point of not knowing which to go with. That's why I asked you Creekers for help.

Another New Englander, more specifically Vermonter here (ok, I haven't lived there for 8 years, but will ALWYAS be from there...). You are from N.E. if the work "wicked" is part of your everyday vernacular, among many other colloquialisms not meant for posting. I think NE is the only place in the country with "dooryards"..LOL. Anyway....

Another vote for Accuride. As with anything in this hobby or line of work, you get what you pay for, and Accuride is proud of their product and it shows in the price.

Accuride side mount slides are great but there are knockoffs that are of equal quality at a FRACTION of the cost.

As far as undermount slides are concerned Blum seems to be one of the best. Ikea uses them exclusively on undermounts. AND, Blum are the cheapest full extension undermounts.

Unequivocally Blum has the ultimate slide. You want the very best, Blum is hands down the slide to choose. Two options :

1. Tandem runners with integrated blumotion (self closing mechanism).
http://www.hardwareattic.ca/en/173.

2.Blum tandembox, the mercedez of drawer system. Includes drawer profiles, slides with blumotion. http://www.hardwareattic.ca/en/46.

Accuride has a self closing mechanism also, but my choice has always been Blum.
Carefull with LEE VAlley, they sell what looks like Accuride but in fact they are knock off copies! Unless it states Accuride they are not!

I love these and use them in my kitchen. I think they charge way too much for their drilling template tool, but I have that too, as it saves some time.

If by drawer system you mean just what the tandembox is, then I am inclined to agree. However, for most US-style cabinetwork, I think they can look cheap, despite being more expensive than most wood drawer options.

Good advice for most retailers, I would think
