time for a new miter saw.i had a 10 inch sliding hitachi miter.i do not need a laser because i have side tables with rules and stops.i am deciding between 10 inch sliding compound makita, bosch and hitachi.amazon has so many different reviews.i like the idea of microadjuster which only bosch has.often i need to microadjust just a tenth of a degree.thanks.

I have seen good reviews on the bosch. I do not own one at this point.

I have an Hatachi 10" SCMS that I bought in a great deal on Amazon. It works great for me, but I don't use it very often. If you want the highest rated one according to some reviews I've seen, go with the Bosch, especially if it has the microadjust feature that you need. Or, you could wait (quite a while I would imagine) for the new Festool saw that was just introduced in Europe. See http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=51046 for more information. I would suspect it will be an excellent saw if their other tools are any indication. Since I can't read german I don't know if it will have a microadjust.

This is king on my 'wants-list' and has yet to be dethroned.

I purchased the Bosch 10" slider and what a piece of equipment. I mounted it on a Ridgid miter saw stand its awsome. I also read all the
reviews and got a very good deal on it from Amazon. The Makita saw is
also very nice and actually slides much smoother than the bosch, but I
still would not trade mine in ;)
