Laptops - plastic PVC

Hi all. Some people are asking me to engrave their laptops. I have seen a thread here and in the Epilog site that it can be done. NOW, doesn't the plastic cases from laptops contain PVC? does anyone know.

They look really cool, but am afraid to do it until I really know. I guess some of you have done it, and no complaint about melting lasers due to acid :-)

I did a Dell laptop with no issues. I can't see that material containing any PVC, but I could be wrong.

Laptops are more likely to be laser safe materials like ABS and Polystyrene composites. At a trade show here there was a vendor laser engraving people's
cell phones and laptops free.
