Finished up a couple of these for a friend of ours who got some orders for them from her ladies group. It was a chance to do some flat work for a change. But don't worry, the spinning vortex still has a strong hold on me. Resistance is futile!!!:p

It's a cassarole dish carrier made from laminated pieces. I used oak, maple, cherry and mahogany. The holes are for some dowels to hold the dish in place while carrying it. The dowels are carried in some strips on the underside of the board. I just rub it down with mineral oil for the finish.

I like that idea. Yours looks great with the mix of woods. I am going to have to make one for the wife.

Nice looking board. Where are you at in Louisiana? Doesn't seem to be many here from LA. I live in Sorrento, a little town just south of Gonzales.
