My third bowl and latest work. Maple with a bit of spalting. 8" X 4". My standard 5 coats of tung oil finish and beale buffed.

Planning on entering this in the NWA show next weekend. Luckily they added a novice category for "less than 12 month turners" so I don't feel ashamed seeing my work next to the experts!

Jason, no need to be ashamed. This is a nice looking bowl I like the form and wood.:) Keep'em coming!

Beautiful bowl... sure doesn't look to me like it is a beginners piece. I think you did a great job! And yep, keep 'em comin'!

Great looking bowl Jason! Nice form, wood grain and finish! In no way does your bowl look like a beginner's attempt! Nice work!

I opened that profile shot and was immediately struck by what a great curve the outside wall has. That's just about dead-on perfect!

IMHO, this piece is VERY good. :cool:

Wow! third bowl! I wish my third had looked so good. Heck, I wish my thirteenth looked half as good as this. Great form and finish.

I've seen your work in person and I may have done a nice job on this bowl but it doesn't compare to yours. See you at the show. I look forward to your demo.

Nice looking bowl, Jason. You should take first prize! You and Don are from my part of the country. I'm not familiar with NWA. Good luck.
