This morning the Dallas Morning News had an article about a nation wide recall of both DOG AND CAT FOOD. The contaminated food can lead to kidney failure and must be discontinued at once. The company, Menu Foods, makes 37 different name brands, so you really should check.

To is if you have been feeding the contaminated food, go to the RECALL webpage (http://www.menufoods.com/recall/).

The recall also includes Iams and Eukanuba (http://us.iams.com/iams/en_US/data_root/html/product_article/ProductRecallList.htm) brands from Proctor and Gamble.

Out of 6 different flavors of Nutro kitten food we have on hand, 4 flavors were bad.

To avoid such problems - do like I do - just feed your dog steaks.:)

Thanks for the warning Ken - we all need to look after the little canines.

I always wanted to ask you Mr.Ken: Is that a picture of Bob Newhart at the bottom of your post?

Be careful, Gary. Those are fighting words for an Alabama Crimson Tide fan.

Thanks Ken. I had picked up on this recall this morning on another forum that I frequent and the wife has been calling the toll free number a couple times today only to find a busy signal. We don't use any of the brands that were listed, but she is trying to call just to confirm our brands safety.
