New Member - Hello to all (Drill spindle/Chuck wobble)

I am new to Sawmill, and have found the posts and reply very insightful - thanks for all the valuable information. Now to my question: I recently bought a portable drill guide and found the wobble on the chuck on my cordless is amplified by this jig, so much so that it moves 1/4 of an inch or more side to side. I've tried another CD, and came to the conclusion that my spindle/chuck combination is not true. :confused: Is there a fix anyone can recommend, I am not adversed to buying another drill so recommendations would be welcome.

Welcome, Brian.

Runout like that is a serious issue with the tool...if you can't correct it by reseating the chuck, than you may be forced to replace the tool.

Jim thanks for replying. Is there a type or brand of drill, cordless or otherwise that you can recommend? I am trying to drill accurate holes without using a drill press.
