Is that model a direct drive?

That looks real, REAL close to the later model 16 HD's. For that kind of $$$, you can't hardly beat it. Why exactly they painted it red is beyond me but, the color won't affect performance! :) It doesn't have the ceramic guides but, some folks prefer the bearing guides. Plus, you can always retro-fit the ceramics if you so choose. Lay hands on it, see it run and visually inspect it. If all runs smooth, it's a good deal! :)

John, no such thing as direct drive in the Laguna line. Not sure anyone does, for that matter. That's just where the motor is mounted. There is definitely a belt which goes on to a secondary rim of the lower wheel. Very easy motor tension adjustment, as well.:) :cool:
