Quick Quick no time to search and didn't plan ahead.

Found some real narly crotches in the wood pile.
Just slap a sealant on it or soak it in DS first:confused:
It's on its way to good fire wood but it would be a shame.

Seal it. Soaking it will be if you wanted to turn it to partial thikckness and then final turn later. If you are just storing the logs for later use, seal all exposed grain with some type of sealant. Even if it is just latex paint you have laying around. I;m up for saving all wood possible!!
