Hi there: just received my Blue Spuce chisels and small marking knife. :) It's one thing to see them in a picture and a whole other thing to feel them in your hand. I asked David Jeske to make them with some nice dark woods and did he ever come through. Claro Walnut, Rosewood, African Blackwood and Macassar Ebony.

The small marking knife is even more unbelievable. I was stunned when I saw it. Seems more like a work of art than a tool. But I'll use it:D

I plan on using them for the drawers on a low and highboy I am making. It will be a while till I get to the drawer stage...still on the carving stage, so I will need to make a small box for the Blue Spruce items. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Oh: Also received my new Steel City 6" Jointer. Am very impressed with its construction and workings. It nearly killed me getting it down the stairs;)

What kind of wood is sceptor.
I mean the jewell.
No wait, I mean the marking knife?
