We were recently in a model home that had a really neat shelf with shaker pegs in one of the bedrooms. My 11 year old daughter absolutely loved it, and given that she needs storage for her growing collection of trophies, I agreed to build one for her.
Just got it finished for her today.

This was a simple but fun project that took longer to paint and get installed than it took to do the actual woodworking. Basically it's just two pieces of 5.25" MDF biscuited and pocket screwed together. The hardest part was making the shelf brackets, (pattern routed using a template jig) and the circlular return at the door.
My daughter really seems to like it. Two minutes after I had it installed, she already had it full of her stuff! :)
