Where to get a Porter-Cable 890 Collet?

The 1/4 inch collet on my PC 890 is just worn out. The bits keep slipping. Where is the best place to get a replacement collet? I'm in Fort Worth.

Don't know about the FW area, but I bought my last couple replacement collets at a local Rockler store.

You might also try - via the 800 numbers - Highland Hardware, Hartville Hardware, and Woodcraft. Use the 800 number, and ask for tech support/parts. I know for sure that both Highland and Hartville have the parts, or can order them for you.

FWIW - I've orderd replacment parts from them a number of times - they are fast, reliable and their prices are very competitive. In one case (blade for a biscuit joiner) they were $22 - Amazon was $34. Too bad for me, I only learned this AFTER I had the more expensive blade.

We learn by making mistakes.
