I'm ready to buy my next shop tool. So for I have a table saw, router, planer and various other hand held tools. My Question is which of the following tools do you use most and which one do you suggest I get first, drill press, jointer or band saw. For now most of my projects will be mostly furniture such as a gun cabinet and a foyer table. Nothing real fancy mostly square stuff. Your suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Since you said square stuff, I'd get a jointer. If you had said curved stuff, I woulda said a bandsaw.

1) Jointer
2) Bandsaw

Although, you can get creative with routers, table saws and planers to effectively joint boards.

Do you want to build a planer sled?

Otherwise:

1: jointer
2. bandsaw
3. DP

Another vote for jointer. It'll change the way you work once you can dimension your own lumber accurately.

Well, that's the whole key, huh......

If you don't have straight, flat lumber you really can't make great projects.

How bad do you want to make really nice stuff?
