Attaching Desk Top

I would like to get suggestions on attaching a top to a desk.

The desk is made from cherry and maple. Cherry rails and legs and maple panels. The top consists of three solid cherry boards. Two are 8.5" and the third is 5.5". The top is 42" long and 22.5" wide. Glued together only.

What would be the best way to attach this top to the desk?

Looking for ideas.

I did a desk of similar dimesions and used figure 8's. They will allow the cherry to move.
