Haven't posted much recently, not much fine woodworking:( , just a lot of finish carpentry and trim for a daughters house. I had to make 4- 20' skirtboards for stairs, they needed to be at least 10" wide. Interesting problem, how do you joint 20' lumber (vertical grain fir) ? Well, you clamp two boards together on edge, grab the old No. 7 Stanley and go to work:D . Here's the last two sets of skirts. Really doesn't take that long with a sharp iron, hardly even broke a sweat, even though I took nearly an 1/8" off.
