A little more practice with my D4. Trying extended dovetails on this scrap cherry shop box. I think I need more time on this machine.

Well Chris....since it's a scrap shop box.....just send it MY WAY.....I would LOVE to have that box.! I don't see anything wrong with it and I think it looks really good. I have a LOT of dovetails to cut today.....so I better get at it.

Keep up the good work and SEND ME THAT BOX.!! :)

All I see is reserved white space where a picture should be.... Where's the picture?

Edit: Never mind - I see them now. I installed Quicktime 6 early this morning and after I rebooted, all is well.

Chris - they look nice. Neet design on the box. Almost looks like one of those cash boxes that were used on stage coaches.

If you decide you're just not satisfied with that D4, private message me for my address and I'll see if I can figure out a use for it! :D

Todd.

Chris, I agree with Dennis...there ain't nothin' wrong with that box OR the dovetails that I can see.

One of the things that I love about the D4 is that the manual is the best in the business...just follow the instructions for a particular joint to the letter and even the first effort will be quite good.

That "scrap" spalted maple adds a nice tough to the "scrap" cherry. I really need to spend some time with my Leigh also.

Chris, great looking box. The dovetails look great to me.

Like the rest have said, send your scrap my way. I'll even pay for shipping. Neat touch on the lid. I will try to remember that idea. It's hard to mess up with the Leigh.

I did mess up with planning to make boxes with it a couple weeks ago. I carefully planed some cherry boards to 3/8" and went to set up the D4 to make quick work of them...... Most of you know that 1/2" is the thinnest that the D4 will accommodate. Maybe I did too, but I definitely forgot. So I had to use my Jointech on my router table.
