Today, finished and delivered a credence table to St. John Catholic Church. If I do say so myself, it looks pretty nice.

Construction details: the sides, shelf, and top are made of 3/4 oak ply. The border around the top is made from red oak, and the doors and face frames are made with white oak. Yes, I know - the second piece of lumber I picked out in the dark, in the red oak bin, and is white oak. I didn't notice the difference until I had it all cut out. I was going to try to stain the white oak a little but decided it looked okay. The contrast is not at all noticeable in the table's new home.
I used Minwax antique oil finish, applied with steel wool.
The top is held on with 4 hanger bolts, I used one piano hinge and cut it into length.
