I was looking through Amazon and saw the Jet Mini with the electronic variable speed for $268 with free shipping and probably no sales tax. Seemed like a reasonable deal and everyone is always seems to waiting for "the deal" to happen! Just F.Y.I. if you are looking.

Do you know if it is the one with the indexing wheel and the spindle lock???

Yes, it is. "VSI" should equal "variable speed indexing"

I could be wrong, but I think the new Jet is model 12-20. (12" diameter, 20" length.) Still a great price on a 10-14 with VS.

Well, from what I found, they went up $31 overnight and are now out of stock. I order from Amazon quite a bit and in my experience, when you see it for the price you want, you either order that day or it is usually gone. Just wait a while and it will probably come back. :(
