I am working on a fireplace insert for some clients. Its basically a couple of pull out drawers that hold a bunch of DVD's and then the electric fireplace sits between these two cabinets. They have a walnut entertainment center already and I am trying to match that look.
Firstly is there a hardwood plywood that can be made compatible with walnut face frames and edging peices?
What finish (dye etc) do I use to get a compatible finish. The finish on the existing entertainment center appears to be some kind of oil varnish mix. I am more interested in how I blend the natural walnut and hardwood plywood right now. Do I finish the plywood first for color or do that at the end and attempt to blend the two?
Any info would be helpful, Thanks.
