I took a class at Woodcraft yesterday and made a European style pen. I like to use pens that have a wider end where the fingers grip. We used Bubinga wood and polished using Myland's friction polish. This is my first attempt at turning anything from start to finish. I have not yet had a chance to practice on practice wood. I just sharpened my tools the night before the class. It was very fun and I will definitely be making more - I picked up some pen kits and supplies. I am looking forward to making one on my own lathe.

You've got a good start John. Very nice pen. Wished my first one looked that good. Keep'em coming.

John - I like the unique shape of your pen! Great looking wood! You'll have to be sure and post some of the kits once you have them finished.
