I haven't posted a picture in a while but thought I'd share a piece I've been working on for the past few days. Mom's birthday is coming up and she likes teapots so I thought I'd make her one. I like the ones that I see in magazines like American Craft so here's my first stab at creating one. It hasn't been finished yet and needs a little more sanding here and there but I just couldn't wait to share it.

The body is dogwood and the handle, spout, and lid is ebony. I think I'm going to finish it with a satin lacquer.

Very nice and different. Make sure your mom knows to put the water in before she sets it on the stove :)
