As popular as G&G is, how come there aren't more plans? Frank LLoyd Wright as well.

There is a book out there on G&G. Have you seen it?

Here's two good books which have been published recently about G&G

Shop Drawings for Greene & Greene Furniture, Robert Lang. He has measured drawings for 23 pieces of G&G furniture. $20 or so.

Greene & Greene: Design Elements for the Workshop, Darrell Peart. Darrell focuses more on the signature design details of G&G, and how to make them with today's tools. $25 or so. You can buy it at the usual retailers, or directly from Darrell at http://www.furnituremaker.com/.

I love G&G and Stickley! Can't remember the publication but there was an article recently about a G&G occasional table that focused on the drawer. The runners were made of Ebony and mounted at the top of the drawer. What I liked the best was that the finger joints on the drawer front extended past the sides. What a cool look.

That being said, I like to merely get ideas from G&G and Stickley and then jump in with both feet and make my own creation.

That article is in the Feb 2007 issue of Pop Woodworking and was written by my friend David Mathias. There's also a Greene-inspired side table by David Thiel in that issue.
