I want to create a scroll saw pattern from a photograph. Has anyone done this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Gilbert:
This tutorial has been around for a while, and is linked to a lot. It is a long tutorial, and takes a lot of Internet bandwidth. Be aware it is several years old, and was written with a version of PSP out at that time.

If it becomes too much of a problem, be aware there is an easier program to use, called Coyote from the Me-On-A-Pumpkin web site. http://www.meonapumpkin.com/
(Aside: Me-on-a-pumpkin software is for converting a photo to a pattern for cutting onto a pumpkin using a #7 scroll saw blade stuck into a cork as a handle)
Way down on on the difficult level is a software for the stained glass hobbyist called Pattern Wizard: http://sgdesigns.com/ Since it is so easy to use, you may assume it has limited options and flexibility.
These are all bit map editors.
BTW Gilbert: if you are into scroll saw as a hobby, there are forums that are focused on the hobbyist scroll sawyer that will complement your membership at this forum: http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/
