Reading the description of the Woodpecker's Quick Lift, I see the following:

With barely a ¼ turn of the lift wrench, the router is free to be moved to any vertical location without a single turn of the crank handle.

Does that mean that I still have to reach under the table and physically lift the router up?

I'd like a router lift that will allow me to do a complete bit change from above the table. Preferably without having to turn the hand crank 50+ times to raise the router collet up to table height.

Thanks,
J. C.

I don't own one but my understanding is that the wrench used to turn the quick lift lock 1/4 of a turn then becomes a handle to raise the unit. You do not have to reach underneath the table.

I am also aware that Woodpecker's is offering free UPS ground shipping until midnight on March 9th.

COUPON CODE: FREE

That is the lift I hope to buy someday, but for now I'm reaching under the table for everything.

I own a quick lift & as Steve said you do not have to reach under the table to raise the router.
