My local dealer....the one who's been feeding my addiction called me up on Tuesday and said the big burly maple tree in his dad's yard about a mile from my house was being taken down today. So.......not having any sealer, Wednesday morning I called Woodcraft in Spokane and bought some and had a courier service pick it up. It was on my back porch Wednesday afternoon when I got home from work. Cost me $10 for same day delivery from Spokane which is 110 miles away. I couldn't drive it for that even in Sharon's Honda Accord. Folks, I took the sealer to Mike and Kathy Brooks today and once again got to see that burly beast. I LUST! One burl is so big that I doubt if Mike and I could reach around it and hold hands. This tree is full of burls .......beaucoup burls!

He's sealing it and taking it to their ranch. I due there in a couple of weeks to help rough cut it.

Folks.....you really need to see this photo....to get a real perspective of how unbelieveably large that crotch burl is.....This is my local wood pusher....fellow Creeker Mike Brooks......that big saw of his ......has a 42" bar IIRC...check out that burl.....Now I'm lusting for a Mustard or Mayo fix.......
