I have all but finished up a 2 over 2 dresser made from birch ply for and black walnut for the drawer fronts....
The curly birch is close match in color to the cherry (until the cherry ages...) & the walnut is pretty much standard balck walnut.
I am interested in ideas-opinions etc on a finish to apply. I am not opposed to adding color to the different woods and but am not opposed to a natural finish either.
Just finishing for idea outside my little box of thinking on finishes....
FYI, its a dresser for a 5 year old boy so it needs to be pretty durable.
