I've come to find out I have one of the earlier made 3520B Lathes. As most tools, it seems the early made ones are the "guinee pigs." So far I already ran into an inverter problem and an RPM gauge problem (very minor though). I was wondering if anyone out there has run into any issues.

This is my second lathe and I am not overlly familiar with lathe tweaks and things that need to be spotted to make a more effcient machine.

Thanks,

Chris

I don't have any problem with mine. Have you contacted your distributor or WHM?

WMH tools contact:
Consumer Relations
1.800.274.6848 - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CST, Monday - Friday)

They're pretty well known for excellent customer service -- if I had any concerns(and I have none other than the operator,me) about my 3520B they would be the first phone call.

Chris,
This would also be my recommendation. I haven't experienced the problems you describe, but past contact with their support (different machine) has been excellent.

Page 20 of the 3520B manual:

The A.C. Inverter does not require any
programming – it is pre-programmed from the
factory. The buttons on the face of the
inverter should never be pushed at any time.
Use only the controls on the front of the
headstock.

If you suspect there is a problem with the
inverter or the inverter settings, contact WMH
Tool Group technical service at 1-800-274-6848.

I've dealt with Customer Support and they have been great. I was jsut throwing it out to see if anyone has ran into any small snags.

You know there are SO many write-ups on how to tweak your tablesaw. Kind of made me wonder, what do people do to their lathes?

Just use it.
