OK, guys and gals. I need someone to turn eight (8) handles for me. Overall 8" long and 1 3/4 thick. I do have a profile that I can scan in and send. I also can provide the blanks needed, just let me know dimensions that you need. I may need this type work a few times a year. Last year we did 10 sets, walnut, cherry and red oak. The set I need now is walnut. Let me know what'll cost and we'll work out the particulars. I'd need to have by end of March so no big rush but would like to get as soon as possible. Also no tenon needed as these will have hanger bolts to be screwed to the ship's wheel.

Thanks alot
Jody

Jody
send me a scanned image and I'll see if I can do it for you
I have some walnut here. I'll try one to see if it is possible for
me to do it. If so I won't take long to do them

MAde it home so here is a drawing of the handle.
The Overall length is 7" and is 1 5/8" at the fattest point, the base is 1 1/2". These are "flat" measurements I wasn't smart enough to use a caliper to do the measuring before my business partner (he did the turning) bailed on me. I like the beefy handles.

Here is a Pic of a finished ship's wheel. We do a few of these a year for military retirements.

Kenneth, be sure and post pics of the finished lot when you get done.

Jodie, same thing when you get it put together. I'd be interested to see the final product. These are a great tribute to these fine men and women.
