Been buying at the borg, but there has to be a better source for good sandpaper.

Klingspor at http://orders.woodworkingshop.com/ is where I've bought most of mine although I guess I'll be buying my ROS disks from Festool from now on since switching sanders.

I buy mostly ROS hook and loop boxes of 100 in grits from 60 to 320 from Amazon. It sells for 14.99, but if you buy 3 boxes or more, which I do, it is $11.99 a box with free delivery. That was the price last time I ordered, which has been a while. I don't use that much regular paper so the borg prices are okay with me.

I've been hooked on Norton 3X for awhile but Kilngspor's price seems to be a little better and I've read that it is good stuff.

I have an article from a woodworking magazine in which discs were rated by the relative cost to remove a gram of wood. Klingspor was best, Norton 3X next. The 3M stuff at the BORGS was worst - and WAY worst!

I don't know about Klingspors cuz they won't send me a catalog, but I sure like the Norton 3X where ever you get it. I also agree that that the 3M stuff is not worth buying

I do quite a bit of woodturning on my lathe. A while back, I discovered that the Japanese make extra-high quality sandpaper that is ideal for this use. I mean numbers that are 'way up there -- ultra-fine grade paper that lasts and lasts. I use a razor knife to slice the paper into inch-wide strips. My last batch came from a booth at a woodworking show, but I am sure there are retailers that can help you.

Compare the prices at www.industrialabrasives.com (http://www.industrialabrasives.com) Get all my paper there and can get it cut to size also.
