Hey,

I have a couple of Classic American pen kits from Woodcraft and in the directions it says the drill bit is O. Could someone translate that for me.
thanx,

Pete

Pete,

Here it is...There are 4 major bit sizes. (Number, Letter, Fractional and Metric). Here are the closest ones to give you an idea and others may work for you. Check the chart here http://www.penturners.org/content/refs/DrillChart2.pdf

5/16" = 0.3125"
8mm = 0.3150"
O = 0.3160"
P = 0.3230"
21/64" = 0.3281"

Hope this helps.

You can also get a 110 piece drill bit set from harbor freight for around 40 bucks. It has the lettered bits in the set. They aren't too bad either. I buy the cheap bits and use a drill doctor to sharpen them. I loose too many to buy expensive bits.:cool:
